Welding Electrics Course


Course Content

The Welding Electrics training course includes both theory and practical sessions for the trainee.



Objectives
  • To explain the terms used in electricity
  • An introduction to electrical power generation
  • Explain the basic power supply system
  • To identify the different types of power sources
  • To identify key methods of power source control
  • To identify the different types of power source welding characteristics
  • Explain the equipment data plate
  • Explain the meaning of duty cycles

Key Learning Points
When the module is complete the trainee should understand the following:
  • The meaning of electrical abbreviations and terminology
  • Electrical power generation and supply
  • The different types of equipment
  • The different methods of control
  • How to understand equipment data plates
  • The meaning and use of duty cycles
Certification
Trainees will receive a WWA Certificate of Attendance. The training programme is quality assured and certified by our awarding bodies.

An EAL Certificate of Verified Achievement is also available at an additional cost to the trainee. (Subject to attainment)

       

Welding Electrics Training Module

Trainees will receive a Wilkinson Welding Academy 'full colour 28-page Welding Electrics Training Module' to take home for future reference.
