Course Content

The TIG welding training course includes both theory and practical sessions for the trainee.


Objectives
  • To explain the principles of TIG welding
  • To identify the components to commence TIG welding
  • To identify and explain the controls for the TIG process
  • To identify the key features and benefits of the TIG process
  • To give guidance on the selection of appropriate equipment for TIG welding applications
    


Key Learning Points
When the module is complete the trainee should understand the following:
  • The meaning of the TIG abbreviation and terminology
  • The key features, benefits and applications of modes of welding
  • The equipment required for common applications
  • Method of control of parameters 
  • Common process problems, identification and rectification
  • Process relationship with other processes
  • The selection of appropriate equipment
Certification

Trainees will receive a WWA Certificate of Attendance.  The Training programme is quality assured and certified by our awarding bodies.

An EAL Certificate of Verified Achievement is also available at an additional cost to the trainee. (Subject to attainment)
       

TIG Training Module

Trainees will receive a Wilkinson Welding Academy 'full colour 52-page TIG Training Module' to take home for future reference.

TIG Beginner/Refresher: 1-2 Days

TIG Upskilling: 3-4 Days
