EAL Courses
The EAL level 1 qualification is a 3 day welding course that allows trainees to develop the practical skills required to perform welding in the flat and horizontal/vertical positions. The candidate will produce welds and visually assess that they are fit for purpose against the requirements of the weld procedure (WPS) provided within the unit measure assessment. Furthermore the welder trainee will learn the fundamental underpinning knowledge relevant to the MIG/MAG, TIG or MMA welding process including health and safety, use of welding equipment and choice of consumables.
The qualification is intended to provide a level of knowledge that will allow fundamental welding to take place safely and provide a base level of knowledge and skill.
Funding may be available for these EAL welding courses for people claiming Job Seekers Allowance.
